Photo from BikeWalk Provo volunteer @robbyaloha showcasing the crystal-clear air now that people are driving less. Remember, biking and walking is encouraged in social distancing so long as you stay 6ft away from people. We all need exercise and fresh air to keep good mental health during this time. On the bright side, our air quality is amazing with so few people driving! Posted on March 22, 2020 by Austin Taylor Reply View on Instagram https://ift.tt/3agFOTu Share this:FacebookEmailTwitterPinterest
Here’s what we should be doing to support small business now. FYI those keys are bike lock keys. Posted on March 19, 2020 by Austin Taylor Reply View on Instagram https://ift.tt/2xTjJMx Share this:FacebookEmailTwitterPinterest
money + pavement = driving Despite what the proposed @provocity Transportation Master Plan thinks, “building our way out” of congestion is impossible. We must instead plan a city that provides safe and convenient ways to get around without driving–dense development, complete streets, public transit, etc. Posted on March 17, 2020 by Austin Taylor Reply View on Instagram https://ift.tt/2vsINcg Share this:FacebookEmailTwitterPinterest

LAST DAY to comment on Transportation Master Plan. Please email council@provo.org now and ask that at a minimum the $75m 820 North 5-lane widening project be taken off the plan. We’d love to see you at their meeting tonight as well! 5:30pm at Provo City Hall…but it’s one of the last items so watch the meeting on Youtube and come when it gets close. We will be leading a walking tour at the @strongtownspics event in Provo next week and want to spruce up our walking tour map design. Are there any amateur artists out there who would be willing to help us make this look better? Some cute and zine-y. Black and white for sure. BikeWalk Provo is a volunteer-run organization with no money but we can send a little (and we mean a little…sorry) money your way if needed.
